- Ensuring a secure environment for individual and group communication
- Migrating analog equipment to digital systems
Radiocommunications can be used to set up Closed User Groups (CUGs), whereby members of the CUG can contact each other either on a one-to-one or group basis. This type of communication is mainly used for people who need to have a stand-alone telecommunications infrastructure to be able to contact one another immediately for operational matters that require quick decisions (e.g., through voice calls and data transmission in different formats such as SMS and e-mail).
It is of interest to public services and governments and oil, water and electricity companies, as well as to firms operating in the manufacturing, timber, transport (ports/airports) and security industries.
Our radiocommunications solutions
As integrator and partner for some of the world's leading radiocommunications players (including Motorola, Codan, Icom and Kenwood), CFAO Technology & Energy puts all of its expertise into providing advisory, installation and support services for its customers.
These services range from reviewing existing equipment and systems with a view to upgrading or changing them, right through to turnkey solutions with more complex architectures for towns, cities or even regions (local or national networks). We can also maintain and/or run operational radio systems as an outsourced service for our customers.
The equipment we sell mainly corresponds to VHF communications systems with handheld radios that can be installed in vehicles (mobile) or in offices (base stations) and communications pass through relay stations with capacities that are tailored to the specific operating environment (in terms of traffic volume, availability, etc.).
We can also provide customized solutions such as networks for long range HF communications, SCADA systems and TETRA radio networks. From a technological perspective, the advent of the digital age has put radiocommunications center stage and, as a pioneer in the field, CFAO Technology & Energy is at a critical stage in its development. Projects now focus increasingly on migrating analog equipment to digital systems, i.e., more scalable in terms of both functionality and coverage (data transmission via radio, SMS applications, data, e-mail and access to databases via radio infrastructure).
At present, private networks are the most widely-used systems, however projects involving large capacity digital infrastructures with extensive coverage are more and more common.
Customers using the radio systems offered by CFAO Technology & Energy can enjoy access to:
- A broad range of equipment and accessories, tailored to their specific operating environment
- Competitive prices (e.g., framework supply agreements under which prices for the year are guaranteed and stocks can be obtained locally)
- Recognized expertise in design, advisory and deployment services
- High-quality technical support services. These are provided both by our own teams and by before- and after-sales services provided by our partners
